Tip # 1:
Think before you buy a cheap machine!
Cheap Price=Cheap Parts! The cheaper you
can buy a machine, the cheaper that machine is. I have a warehouse
full of broken down, cheap machines. Machines in the $49-$149 range
are not built well or engineered well. Some companies say, "Save
1000's By Buying Direct From The Factory." Believe me, you will
spend 1000's more in lost revenue, machine down-time, losing locations
because they are broken down again, not to mention your own
frustration and anger because you bought cheap machines. Remember
the Yugo car that came into this country a few years ago? How long did
that car last? Have you seen one lately? It was a CHEAP CAR just
like you can buy CHEAP MACHINES!

Tip # 2:
Be Very VERY careful of "Vending Super Sites"
These are people that have a website and
show dozens and dozens of different machines. You will recognize these
"SUPER-SITES" immediately. Most of these people work out of their
homes and the machines they sell are some of the CHEAPEST machines on
the market. The guarantees or warranties on the machines come from the
manufacturer - not from the person you are buying them from. They are
cheap machines and come with a short-term warranty because they fall
apart easy. The person selling you these machines will never give
you a lifetime guarantee on these machines because he knows the
machines will fall apart! How would you like to have a great location,
like a 24 hour restaurant and then get kicked out because your machine
keeps falling apart? Stay with Quality
machines! They cost a little more but you get to write them off on
your taxes! Just like a mechanic writes off his tools. Most
of these "super-sites" just got started this year (2002) and some just
in August of this year according to Better Business Bureau records.

Tip # 3: Be
careful not to buy a gambling device.
Other companies sell machines that are
illegal and considered gambling in some states. Tell them to be honest
with you and tell you the truth. Example: "Coin Shooter Machines",
"Coin Shooting Machines" and "Table-Top Candy/Shooting" machines are
not legal in some states and are considered gambling. Some companies
call them "Amusement" or "Redemption" or "Skill Machines." Don't be
fooled by what you read or hear! Call your Attorney General's Office
or State Attorney and get the facts. Machines like this could be
outlawed, now or in the future, by your state.

Tip # 4: Beware of companies that demand a large investment up front!
For example, if they demand $10,000 or
more for the initial investment, BE CAREFUL! They are looking at you
as a "one time buyer." Because of the quality of their machines and
service, you will never buy from them again!

Tip # 5: Beware of a company that cannot take credit cards.
If a vending program looks good to you,
but that company cannot take credit cards- BE CAREFUL! In many cases,
that company has a bad credit rating, cannot get a "merchant account"
to take credit cards and what they want is a "cashiers check" from
you. By using your credit card, you have "credit
card protection." Ask the company your are dealing with, "Why
can't you take credit cards?" A company's credit worthiness is checked
out more thoroughly than you or I would be checked out.

Tip # 6:
Stay away from High pressure sales tactics.
Some companies use "high pressure" tactics
to sell you their machines. Don't let them high pressure you. Do your
research and do your homework on vending. None
of us like to be high pressured!

Tip # 7: References.
Other companies will give you "customers
to call." Ask yourself, "Are these real customers or am I being set
up?" Most of the companies that do this are
paying the customers or the customers are "distributors" for that
particular machine. Most customers do not want to get telephone
calls all hours of the day and night unless they are being compensated
for it. Again, be careful!

Tip # 8: What
happens if you call the company?
When you call a company and you get an "answering
machine" or an "answering service"
during normal business hours, be careful. A lot of these people
operate out of their homes and have a website. This is the first sign
that they don't have an office and are not a big company. They can "close
shop" in less than an hour. Believe me -- it happens all the
time!!

Tip # 9:
Beware of the "Bait & Switch" tactic.
Other companies use "bait
and switch" tactics. They show you a picture of a machine they
can't supply and then switch you to a cheaper, poor quality machine.
Be careful and check these companies out.

Tip # 10: How long has the company been in selling this machine?
Ask the company you
are researching, "How long have you been selling that particular
machine?" In reality, many of these companies have brand new
machines and have no experience with them. One of our competitors is
advertising as having the "BEST MACHINE ON THE
PLANET," when the facts are they just started selling this
double-head machine in April 2002 and have no experience whatsoever
with it. Some companies will send you out all the replacement parts in
the world, but is that what you want--a machine that is constantly
"OUT OF SERVICE?"
